The Ministry of Manpower recorded that throughout 2025, sales and marketing positions will be the most in-demand professions in Indonesia’s labor market.
With 72,511 job openings, these roles stand out compared to other positions, as marketing and sales continue to be the driving force behind business growth across various sectors.
In addition, sectors such as production operators, finance & accounting staff, and office administration are also among the positions with the highest demand.
A new trend has also emerged with the rising demand for live streaming hosts. This position ranks seventh among the most sought-after jobs, with over 10,000 openings throughout the year. This phenomenon is largely driven by the rapid growth of the digital economy and marketing strategies through live e-commerce.
Labor demand is also increasing in other digital- and finance-related sectors, such as finance and accounting staff, content creators, and front-end developers. From January to August 2025, thousands of vacancies have been recorded in these fields, reflecting the diversification of labor needs in line with ongoing digital transformation.
Therefore, adapting to shifting industry demands is essential for workers to remain relevant and competitive in the future.
